The Loft offers a free and confidential Social Emergency Response Service (SERS) for those in need of social and wellbeing support. We will talk to you about what difficulties are happening for you and develop a plan.
The Loft is a non-discriminatory service and will work with all in our community regardless of race, gender, gender expression, sexuality, religion and disability. To make your visit as comfortable as possible, please make us aware of your preferred pronouns and any additional needs.
We are registered with both the Safe Space Alliance and Hāpai Card.
How does it work?
- You don't need a referral or an appointment. You can drop into The Loft between 9am and 5pm (we recommend coming in by 4pm to allow us to work through your situation) , Monday through Friday, and ask to speak to a Kaitūhono Hapori/Community Connector.
- We can often see people immediately, but please be aware there may be a wait.
-
During your session, you can talk to your Kaitūhono Hapori/Community Connector about your situation and what you need support with. From there, your Kaitūhono/Connector will create a plan with you that may include referrals to other agencies and/or information for you to follow up on.
If you can't come into The Loft,
- Call 0800 865 638 and ask to speak to a Kaitūhono Hapori/Community Connector, and we can set up an appointment.
- If you can't make it into The Loft, phone assessments can be arranged
- Fill out the brief form on our website here, and we will quickly get back to you.
